Frequently Asked Questions
How can I book?
Once you have chosen the yacht and dates to book, a deposit will need to be paid to secure your choice. The deposit can vary for each yacht and depending on how close to the date your booking is. The remaining amount will need to be paid no later than 30 days before your departure date. Any reservations made with less than 30 days before the charter will require 100% payment to secure the boat and dates.
What time does the charter begin and how long is it for?
Charters run from 10am to 6pm. (8 hours) You can request different times which we will try to accommodate for you where possible. Any change of times must be agreed beforehand.
Do I need to pay a security/damage deposit?
Yes, each boat requires a deposit which can vary from anything from 500 euros up to or over 5000 euros, depending on your yacht of choice and if you take the boat with or without a professional captain. You will be informed of the security deposit at the time of booking.
Are food and drinks included in the price?
There are no food and drinks included in the price of the charter. Provisioning of food and drinks can be arranged and waiting for you on-board before you charter begins. We also have food catering options if you wish to dine on-board or we can provide you recommendations of restaurants. Therefore, you can always bring your own food and drinks along with you.
What is IVA?
IVA is the 21% Spanish taxes. We include this in the boat charter prices. Any additional prices for example, captain/stewardess fees, food/drinks etc may be subject to an additional 21% IVA on top of the prices mentioned.
Why is there a limit of guests?
Most vessels can legally carry up to 12 passengers on-board. (This number must also include the crew) This is because of the legal charter regulations and charter licences. Each yacht in our fleet states the maximum amount of guests allowed on board.
Are there towels on board?
Most yachts include towels on board but this can vary depending on your yacht of choice. We will inform you when you book whether you need to bring your own towels with you or if there will be towels on board.
Is the cost of fuel included in the charter price?
Fuel costs are not included in the charter prices and work on a full to full basis. The boat will go out full of fuel at the start of your charter and before you disembark you will refuel at the fuel quay and pay for what has been used on your day out.
What is a bareboat charter?
A bareboat charter means that you can hire the boat yourself with the correct nautical licence. This will be checked before your booking to ensure you are able to take the boat without a skipper. On the day a run through with a professional skipper will be done to ensure you are able to navigate the boat and that you are comfortable with everything you need to know.
What is a skippered charter?
A skippered charter comes with a professional captain that will be in charge of the boat and passengers at all times. The captain will solely be the one to drive the boat and is in charge on your charter.
